Information on Vending

The Del Ray Vintage & Flea Market was started in 2019 to provide an opportunity for people with vintage and flea market wares to sell and participate in a community event, you do not need to live in Del Ray or Alexandria to vend. We are requesting that anyone vending have vintage, antique, thrift or similar items for sale. Please make every effort you can to attend our market before applying. 

• Vintage means 20 years or older
• Our market is not a venue to clean out your closets - vintage dealers preferred
• Preference given to those with a social media presence and market experience 
• We admit a limited number of artisans to the market - please keep in mind this is not a craft show. We do not permit the resale of new/unused items, multi-level marketing franchises or like products.

• $40 for the size of a parking spot - enough size for a 8x8 pop-up canopy (10x10 tents are a tight fit and tent legs will extend beyond the parking spot.)
• Your vending fee is payable on market day
• If you do not show up or pay for your spot, nor communicate with us about not being able to participate, you will be prohibited from vending in all future markets and events. 

• The market takes place in the outdoor parking lots of Psych & Wellness at 1900 Mt. Vernon Ave and the Salvation Army Corps at 1804 Mt, Vernon Avenue, just steps away from each other.  
• If your application is accepted to vend, you will be assigned a spot number which is given to you on the morning of the market, upon your arrival.
• We are always the Second Saturday of each month, all year long - please see our schedule here.

• As a vendor, you are responsible for bringing everything of your own. We do not provide anything but the space to set-up your displays and wares. 
• Pop-up canopy tents are encouraged, but need to be weighted down properly on all four legs with sand bags, cinderblocks or otherwise appropriate items. Amazon sells sand bags that easily velcro around the tent legs.
• There are no electrical outlets or access available, please do not bring anything requiring power or generators.   
• If vending in the Salvation Army parking lot, please be respectful of their property and do not attempt to enter the building for any reason. 
• Other items to consider bringing: chairs, tables, drinks/snacks, display pieces, payment method signage, apron or cash box, mobile accessories for processing credit/debit cards, sunblock, bags/packaging material if offering to customers, mirrors for customers to admire themselves while trying on your products!  

• Per The City of Alexandria Noise Ordinance, set-up may begin NO EARLIER than 7am - please be considerate of our neighbors! 
• You may pull your vehicle into your assigned spot to unload but must park on the surrounding neighborhood streets once unloaded (before you set-up) and for the duration of the market. Street parking is easily found near the market. Please do not start unpacking your items before you move your car and park. 
• As a vendor, please do not park on Mt. Vernon Avenue (2hr limit.) since our stores and restaurants depend on those spaces for their customers.
• The market technically starts at 9am although you may have some early birds! The market is scheduled to end at 2pm, but again - you may have some stragglers and we won't make you stop a sale in progress.
